More tomatoes, courgettes and peppers. and now raspberries and carrots
August is bringing to and end some of the veggies but a new lot are starting to ripen. All the onions are now in storage as are the tatties and garlic.
The second batch of tomatoes have produced some interesting varieties. There are at least three types on the plants: red, yellow and tiger stripe. The courgettes just keep coming and be have an excellent recipe for marrow spaghetti. The bell peppers are ripening slowly and out first beaver dam pepper is getting longer.
The raspberries are giving us a handful each day. What is surprising is that the birds don’t seems to be interested in them. And the carrots are sorting themselves out after a long slow start. Seemed to take ages for them to get going.
